  1. Look at your relationships through God's eyes.
    1. Ephesians 4:1 - Therefore I … beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called (invited) by God.

 

  1. Risk friendships that honor God.
    1. Challenge me to accountability.
      1. Proverbs 13:20 - Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.
      2. Proverbs 27:17 - You use steel to sharpen steel, and one friend sharpens another.
    1. Support me emotionally.
      1. Galatians 6:2  - Share each other's troubles and problems, and in this way obey the law of Christ.
    1. Encourage me spiritually.
      1. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 - So speak encouraging words to one another.  Build up hope so you'll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind.

 

  1. Accept the invitation of Jesus Christ.
    1. Luke 9:24 - Those who want to save their lives will give up true life.  But those who give up their lives for me will have true life.
    2. Luke 9:25 - It is worth nothing for them to have the whole world if they themselves are destroyed or lost.
    3. John 10:10 - I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.
    4. When you say "NO" to Jesus, you take responsibility for the outcome.
    5. When you say "YES" to Jesus, Jesus takes responsibility for the outcome.
